Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, superior communication abilities, and a commitment to fostering a love for the Spanish language and culture in students. This individual should be a team player with leadership skills, eager to contribute to the spiritual and academic formation of our students in a Catholic school setting.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that support students' acquisition of Spanish language skills, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
- Create a dynamic and interactive learning environment that fosters cultural appreciation and linguistic growth.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing meaningful feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with fellow faculty members to support a well-rounded education for students.
- Uphold and promote the Catholic mission and values of St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic School.
Qualifications:
- Valid Iowa Teaching License (or ability to obtain one).
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Spanish, or a related field.
- Previous teaching experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Commitment to professional growth and development.
