Harlan Community School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Band Teacher to lead our instrumental music program for students in grades 5th through 8th grade. The Band Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging instruction in instrumental techniques, music theory, and performance skills. Responsibilities include directing concert band, jazz band, and other ensembles, preparing students for performances, competitions, and festivals, and collaborating with colleagues, parents, and the community to support student success.
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic educator with strong musical expertise, excellent classroom management skills, and the ability to inspire students at all skill levels. A valid teaching license with a music endorsement is required.
