Position Overview:
The Math Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics instruction to students at Riverbend Middle School. The ideal candidate will create an engaging and supportive classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, collaboration, problem-solving, and a love for math.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and technology to enhance learning.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback.
Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure student success.
Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.
Qualifications:
Valid Iowa teaching license with a Math endorsement (or ability to obtain).
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Passion for working with middle school students.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of best practices in math instruction and assessment.
