Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using Aloha POS or similar systems.
- Provide guests with menus and inform them of any specials or promotions.
- Maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover and guest flow.
- Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, taking reservations and addressing inquiries.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness in the front-of-house area, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring positive guest relations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A friendly demeanor with the ability to help guests feel comfortable and valued.
- Knowledge of basic guest services principles and practices.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.49 - $17.00 per hour
