Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated SOV (Service Operations Vessel) Coordinator to support offshore wind operations. The SOV Coordinator will play a critical role in managing daily operations aboard the Service Operations Vessel, ensuring the efficient and safe execution of offshore activities. This role involves close collaboration with the offshore operations team, contractors, and other stakeholders to maintain high standards of safety, compliance, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact aboard the SOV for daily offshore operational activities.
- Coordinate personnel transfers, logistics, and vessel movements to support offshore wind farm operations.
- Oversee and ensure the execution of scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs in collaboration with technicians and contractors.
- Monitor weather conditions and provide recommendations to ensure safe operations.
- Act as the liaison between onshore coordination teams, offshore technicians, and vessel crews.
- Maintain and update detailed records of offshore activities, including personnel movements, maintenance logs, and operational status.
- Support emergency response planning and execution in accordance with offshore safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all local, federal, and international regulations governing offshore operations.
- Conduct safety briefings and provide guidance on safe work practices to all personnel onboard.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation related to offshore activities and provide updates to project management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in offshore operations, vessel coordination, or similar roles.
- Strong understanding of offshore safety regulations and best practices.
- Familiarity with Service Operations Vessel operations and wind farm maintenance is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage offshore personnel and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a rotation-based offshore environment, including extended stays on the vessel.
- Proficiency in using digital tools for reporting and operational planning.
- Valid offshore safety and survival certifications (e.g., GWO, BOSIET) and medical clearance for offshore work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in offshore wind farm operations or other renewable energy projects.
- Knowledge of vessel and personnel logistics in dynamic offshore environments.
- Prior experience in coordinating with onshore and offshore teams in a high-paced environment.
