We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Entry-Level IT Support Technician to join our team at a fast growing, HVAC wholesale distributor. In this role, you will be responsible for helping employees with Tier 1 level IT issues, managing some data entries, and helping further integrate IT into day-to-day work. There will be an occasional need to visit different branch locations in the greater Atlanta, GA area to troubleshoot and deploy equipment. The abilities to troubleshoot critically think, and self-start/manage are most important. A college degree isn't a requirement but wouldn't hurt.
Responsibilities:
- Assist all employees with Tier 1 level IT issues and troubleshooting.
- Manage data entries and maintain accurate records.
- Help integrate IT into day-to-day work processes throughout various departments.
- Stay up to date with emerging IT trends and technologies.
- Perform regular system updates.
- Ensure network security and data privacy.
- Assist with procurement and installation of new hardware and software.
- Provide training to employees on new software and hardware as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; college coursework or degree is a plus.
- 1-2 years previous work experience in an IT support role is preferred.
- Must be comfortable working with Windows operating systems.
- Moderate to Advanced Knowledge of computer hardware and software.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience with Infor SX.e or CSD is a plus.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to branch locations within the greater Atlanta, GA area.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
