Summary: Responsible for process improvement and productivity and ensuring the safety and security of the company location. Assists in managing the distribution and warehouse functions, including shipping, receiving, physical inventory management and route management. Responsible for assisting and managing the inside counter sales personnel and warehouse personnel.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage distribution, warehouse, inside salesperson, and third-party logistics.
- Manages and maintains inventory by comparing physical counts and storing items orderly.
- Processes warranty claims.
- Reviews reports (transfer status, PO status, open orders, etc.) and checks for errors.
- Ensures that there is a clear, open line of communication between inside sales personnel and other departments.
- Answers customer calls.
- Keep and store all records (picking tickets, freight bills, etc.)
- Trains employees on HVAC systems.
- Schedule delivery truck routes and coordinate daily warehouse activity.
- Records and maintains timecards for hourly employees.
- Ensures the facilities and vehicles are properly maintained.
- Investigates shipping discrepancies and takes appropriate corrective action.
- Coordinates any necessary records or invoice corrections.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must have 2-3 years of HVAC experience.
- Previous experience as an assistant manager is desirable.
- Excellent problem solving, organizational skills, strong attention to detail, good reasoning ability, sound judgement, good interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Ability to multitask in fast paced environment.
- Ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity.
- Able to lift 50 pounds and operate a forklift.
- Must pass a drug test and background screening.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $56,160.00 per year
