JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Human Resources (HR) Advocate, the primary duties encompass a range of critical tasks and responsibilities essential for fostering a positive workplace environment, supporting employee well-being, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and contributing to the organization’s overall strategic goals. The candidate will serve as a partner to the Senior HR Manager and as one of the primary liaisons between employees and the management team, promoting positive/professional relationships and ensuring adherence to company policies. Additionally, this role involves addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and advocating for fair treatment across all levels of the organization.
Other key aspects of this role include regularly conducting team check-ins to provide guidance and support professional growth from within the company. Additional high-level tasks include but are not limited to monitoring compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws to mitigate risk and ensure ethical business practices. Provide training sessions for employees and management on topics such as conflict resolution, communication strategies, and workplace safety. Above all, handling sensitive employee relations matters with confidentiality, empathy, and professionalism, ensuring impartial investigations and resolutions.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate the on-boarding process and supports new employees in integrating into the company culture.
- Collect employee feedback through surveys and focus groups, and translates insights into actionable improvements.
- Administer and supervise the company’s long-term and short-term disability benefits program.
- Monitor and analyze workforce data to identify trends and recommends strategies to enhance retention and productivity.
- Collaborates directly with other department heads and leaders to align organizational and business needs.
- Create and draft company policies and procedures that adhere to state and federal laws.
- Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing.
- Oversee the maintenance of current employee data in the Paycom System.
- Administer employee medical and other benefit plans, including dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401K, and ESOP.
- Prepare relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports as needed.
- Monitor the accurate processing of new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
- Manage and oversee annual employee performance reviews, benefits enrollment, ESOP statements, and Total Compensation Statements.
- Collaborate on compensation and benefits administration efforts.
- Provide manager support, training, and disciplinary guidance.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- High-level proficiency and experience using Microsoft Excel including key features such as: VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, formulas, etc.
- The ability to analyze HR data, interpret key metrics, forecasting, and make data-driven decisions to improve organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
- Proficient in other Microsoft Office Suite programs such as Word and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for fostering a positive workplace environment.

- Possesses the ability to recognize when things are on the right track or require adjustments.

- Preferred qualifications include PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, and CPP designations.
- With expertise in HRIS administration and payroll processes, will function as a secondary backup for payroll operations within PAYCOM.
- A background in legal matters is a plus!
- Prior experience working with or for an ESOP company is a plus!
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is not mandatory, but it is a plus!

- Bachelor’s Degree (Related Field)
- 7-10 Years of Relevant Experience
