Automotive Mechanic

- FT schedule (Mon-Fri), 45 hours/week, with excellent compensation
Hibshman's Auto Service, a family-friendly & faith-based Automotive Repair Shop, is looking for an Automotive Mechanic to join our growing business. We started in 1975 with one technician, and now we've grown and can provide full fleet service. We take pride in our work and care about our customers and team. About our Automotive Mechanic Position:
- Diagnose & repair vehicle issues
- Perform routine maintenance tasks – oil changes, tire rotations, brake replacements
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify necessary repairs
- Use schematics & diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot vehicle systems
- Stay updated on industry advancements and changes in automotive technology
- Keep the work area clean and safe
Our Ideal Automotive Mechanic:
- Mechanically Inclined: Must be able to diagnose and make mechanical repairs correctly.
- Experienced: Has 5 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic and has strong diagnostic skills. Experience with diesel engines is a plus.
- Licenses: Must have a Motor Vehicle Inspection License and an Emissions License.
- Tech Savvy: All our techs use tablets instead of paper, so you must have basic computer skills; experience using shop management software is a plus.
- Self-motivated: Assesses the work required, has the initiative to get started, and drives tasks to completion.
- Coachable: We are willing to train in our shop management software. Must have diagnostic skills and mechanical ability, but we will train you on our practices and help you excel with our customers.
- Active: You must be able to work on your feet, use tools, bend, kneel, stoop, and lift up to 75 pounds.
- Must provide your own hand tools and toolbox.
