Construction Project Manager

Oversee custom construction projects – equestrian buildings, horse barns, arenas, etc. – to ensure projects are completed on time and within the budget- Conduct in-office pre-construction meetings at the start of each job and communicate project deadlines to the crew and customers
- Determine the scope of each project based on blueprints, specifications, and bids
- Order materials and negotiate pricing/terms and evaluate job site equipment needs, making adjustments when necessary
- Maintain an updated list of preferred subcontractors
- Create the weekly schedules for crews, subcontractors, and vendors
- Visit job sites to check in with the foreman and receive updates on the project status
- Evaluate quality and progress throughout the project and provide updates to the Business Operations Manager

This role is ideal for a construction professional who excels in customer service and enjoys coordinating and managing schedules and project details.
Our Ideal Construction Project Manager
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in construction. Agriculture building experience is a plus; willing to train a previous construction supervisor or foreperson who is looking to step into a project manager role.
- Excellent Communicator: Must communicate effectively and clearly with crews, vendors, project managers, subcontractors, and the leadership team, both verbally and in writing.
- Proactive: Able to assess a situation quickly, see the big picture, and make decisions. Skilled at foreseeing potential challenges and addressing them before they become bigger issues.
- Organized & Goal-Driven: Able to prioritize & organize projects, coordinate multiple peoples' work schedules, track down quality materials with the best pricing, and meet deadlines.
- Ideal Team Player: Humble. Driven. Great Interpersonal Skills. Ability to see projects through to completion and serve our customers reasonably and graciously.
- Computer Savvy: Proficient in MS Office Suite. Previous QuickBooks and FileMaker or Claris experience is a plus, but we are willing to provide training.
- Active: Able to bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, walk on uneven terrain, and lift up to 50 lbs.
