Earthwork Surveyor

Lead surveying tasks for a diversified company on commercial, agricultural, & residential excavation & demolition projects – housing developments, churches, barns, retail shopping centers, distribution centers, medical offices, etc.- Conduct field surveys and generate accurate 3D models for various projects, utilizing cutting-edge technology.
- Perform material takeoffs and calculate earthwork quantities for estimating purposes.
- Set up & calibrate GPS equipment, maintaining its functionality and troubleshooting any issues as needed.
- Conduct drone surveying for cut & fill operations and capture progress through aerial photos and videos.
- Create as-built drawings and reports to document completed project data.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accuracy, success, and timely completion.
- Balance your time in the office and the field, traveling to job sites as needed to maintain efficiency and project oversight.
- Provide ongoing GPS training to our field teams and ensure the technology is being used to its fullest potential.

Our Ideal Earthwork Surveyor
- Experienced: 3 years of experience in land surveying. Must be a licensed Surveyor in the state of PA or willing to obtain one.
- Tech-savvy: Must be proficient in Trimble Business Center and have experience using Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD. A pilot’s license for drone operation in Pennsylvania is required.
- Detail-oriented: Strong ability to manage complex surveying tasks, ensuring accuracy in every aspect of the job.
- Organized: Ability to keep track of multiple projects and maintain clear, accurate records.
- Professional: Maintains high standards of professionalism in all interactions, with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
- Team Player: Collaborates effectively with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure success.
- Strong Communicator: Excellent communication skills to relay project information clearly to team members and clients.
- Active: Able to navigate uneven job site terrain safely and effectively.
What We Offer Our Earthwork Surveyor:
- $75,000 to $85,000 – Depending on experience and background
