Project SHARE is seeking a full-time Executive Director to guide the vision and operations of our faith-based food pantry. Serving over 1,300 households in the greater Carlisle area, we are a well-established nonprofit with a 40-year history of compassionate service, strong community partnerships, and a mission to reduce food insecurity through access to nutritious food and holistic support.

Who We're Looking For:
- Experienced: 3 years of nonprofit experience required; background in nutrition, social work, public health, or a related field preferred. Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
- Mission-Driven Leadership: Committed to the mission, vision, and core values of Project SHARE, demonstrating integrity, compassion, and servant leadership in every interaction.
- Strategic & Visionary: Capable of casting vision, setting goals, and guiding the organization's future through thoughtful planning, delegation, and team development.
- Financial Acumen: Skilled in nonprofit budget preparation, analysis, and decision-making, with a firm grasp of fiscal responsibility and reporting.
- Fundraising & Outreach: Knowledgeable in donor relations and fundraising strategies specific to the nonprofit sector; able to build and maintain meaningful partnerships.
- Communication & Engagement: Strong written, verbal, and public speaking skills with the ability to connect with diverse groups, including staff, volunteers, donors, and community leaders.
- Technology Proficiency: Basic computer skills for communication, data entry, and reporting.
- Travel: Willingness to travel to offsite venues for fundraising and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary community representative through public speaking, guest presentations, and regular engagement with churches, colleges, civic groups, and partner organizations.
- Give donors tours, connect with volunteers during food distributions, and foster a welcoming, relationship-based environment.
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors by providing timely, accurate updates and participating in board and committee meetings.
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs that align with and advance Project SHARE's mission.
- Guide the organization's strategic planning to ensure long-term sustainability and continued impact.
- Build & support strong teams of employees and volunteers to carry out daily operations and broader organizational goals.
- Enhance Project SHARE's visibility and reputation by maintaining active involvement in the Carlisle community and broader nonprofit network.
What We Offer Our Executive Director:
- $68K - $78K/year – DOE
- Typical full-time schedule is 40-45 hours per week, including one evening per week until 6:00 PM, one Saturday per month (7:30 AM–1:00 PM), and eight Sunday mornings annually for community engagement events.
