Maintenance Technician

Gap, PA

  • Enjoy hands-on work, solve problems quickly, and keep equipment running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Receive on-the-job training for maintaining and repairing custom log processing equipment.
  • Provide preventative maintenance for log processing equipment, power tools, forklifts, and molding equipment.
  • Diagnose & repair equipment failures as quickly as possible, performing in-house repairs or bringing in outside help when needed.
  • Manage & organize inventory – parts, supplies, and tools.
  • Schedule & document all repairs and preventative maintenance using our Maintenance Software
  • Provide building and property maintenance, including basic repairs (plumbing, handyman tasks, etc.).
  • Help with after-hours repairs, with flexibility for early arrivals or late stays when needed.
  • Work Monday through Friday, 6 : 30 AM – 4 : 00 PM, with occasional evening or Saturday work if crucial repairs are needed.

At Lancaster Log Cabins, we specialize in building high-quality, portable log cabins with real logs and maintaining a lasting rustic aesthetic. Located in the heart of beautiful Lancaster County, our mission is to glorify God, advance His Kingdom, and inspire our team to reach their full potential. We craft each cabin with care and dedication, ensuring they provide a place of rest, inspiration, and retreat. In addition to our log cabins, we also build modular campground bathhouses, park model beach cabins, and preassembled pods & tiny cabins on skids.

Our Ideal Maintenance Tech :

  • Experienced : Proficiency in basic electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to resolve issues efficiently are needed. Knowledge of PLCs and industrial automation is a plus. Experience in a manufacturing environment and welding skills are helpful but not required. Basic handyman abilities to handle building maintenance and repairs.
  • Problem Solver : Strong mechanical aptitude, able to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
  • Steady : Remains calm under pressure, quickly addressing equipment issues to minimize downtime in a fast-paced environment; someone who appreciates routine & structure.
  • Dedicated : Willing to work extra hours as needed to complete necessary repairs so operations continue smoothly.
  • Collaborative : Works well with the Log Shop Manager and Operators to quickly resolve equipment malfunctions; someone who enjoys working with others and is willing to help with small tasks around the shop and office.
  • Computer Skills : You must have basic computer skills to use our maintenance software.
  • Active : Able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, climb ladders, work from heights, and work with heavy machinery; comfortable working in an industrial environment with noise, heat, and machinery exposure.
