• Prepare, prime, sand, seal, patch, & paint interior & exterior surfaces and fixtures using a variety of finishes
• Clean & maintain all painting equipment, including spray equipment
• Store & label all materials
• Help set up ladders and scaffolding according to safety regulations
• Travel within 45 minutes of Brownstown. No overnights
• Work consistent full-time hours 7 AM to 3 : 30 PM, Monday-Friday with voluntary overtime

Hursh Painting Company, a second-generation, family-owned commercial and residential painting contractor, is seeking an experienced painter to join its team.

Our Ideal Painter :

Experience : 2 years of journeyman-level painting in residential or commercial settings, both interior & exterior, is required.

Must have a working knowledge of various paints, varnishes, lacquers, etc.; applicable code requirements; and operation & maintenance of tools, machinery, and power equipment.

• Active : Ability to lift equipment (up to 85 pounds unassisted), bend, climb, stand, walk, and work from heights. Ability to keep hands steady and use manual & power tools.
• Team Player : Humble enough to admit mistakes. Drive to do a great job. Treats co-workers with care and respect.
• Safety-Conscious : Values and follows safe working practices .
• Attention to Detail : Will work efficiently and effectively within time constraints while keeping committed to quality work.
• Adaptable : Able to thrive in a fast-paced & constantly changing environment with a professional attitude.
• Must have reliable transportation, personal cell phone & painting tools Brushes, rolling poles, putty knives, nail set, hammer, etc.
