- Document and report social service program progress and results
- Investigate abuse/neglect cases, manage case files, and coordinate services with MDHHS and community partners
- Ensure compliance with program and regulatory standards while maintaining case files
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary health team to collaborate with Tribal government departments and outside state and local agencies to facilitate access to community resources
- Conduct interviews, evaluate needs, and make referrals for necessary services
- Provide crisis intervention, short-term services, and recovery coaching
- Enjoy a daytime schedule, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

We are seeking a Tribal Social Worker to join our team. This role supports Tribal children, adults, and families involved with the court system or deemed at risk. Our Tribal Social Worker will provide care coordination, advocacy, and essential services within a holistic, integrative medicine framework. Our Ideal Tribal Social Worker:
- Experience: Bachelor's degree in Social work and 3 years of experience as a social worker is required. Must be a licensed social worker (LBSW) in Michigan or eligible for licensure. Previous child welfare experience is preferred. Experience with grant-funded social service programs and state or federal grants is a plus.
- Passionate & Knowledgeable: Strong advocate for necessary funding and services from state or county; skilled in assisting community members with accessing available services.
- License: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record to travel for meetings and continuing education.
- Adaptable & Resourceful: Able to respond to emergencies, adjust to changing priorities, and find community resources. Capable of managing multiple priorities, working with all age groups, and maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong Work Ethic: Service-oriented with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Self-Starter: Takes initiative, advocates for community needs, and drives wellness goals.
- Tech-savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, and standard office equipment.
