The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and is based on full-time status. Part-time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represent the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements) and is just one component of Team Carney's total compensation package for employees. Hybrid/Remote position
Responsibilities:
- Install, securely configure, and troubleshoot cloud-based virtual machines (VMs) including Internet Information Services (IIS) web server, Oracle MySQL database server, and Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) running on MS Windows operating systems
- Perform system monitoring and reporting. Consult on network, application, and customer service issues to support computer systems’ security and sustainability
- Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems security by conducting security self-assessments and addressing vulnerabilities identified through various means
- Lead a team of administrators and engineers to support mission and technical needs.
- Open to occasional travel to Fort Meade, MD or Letterkenny Army Depot Chambersburg, PA for site and system access.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical area and 6 years of experience
- OR A High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) credential and a minimum of five (5) years of work experience may be substituted for an Bachelor’s degree.
- DoD 8570.1M relevant security certification (i.e., Security or equivalent) required or ability to obtain within 90 days of hiring.
- One of the following certifications are required: CCNA Security, CySA (formerly CSA ), GICSP, GSEC, Security CE, CND, SSCP.
- Advanced knowledge of and ability to administer server-based systems, network devices, virtual machines, and cloud-based services.
- Experience with networks such as NIPRNet and SIPRNet, and their underlying systems
- Working knowledge of database systems, WordPress, and multiple operating systems a plus.
- Current DOD Secret Security Clearance
- CISSP, Microsoft server certifications, AWS certifications.
- VMware Certified Technical Associate.
- Amazon Web Services Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional).
- Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE).
