Reports to: Team Colorado Volleyball (TCV) Board of Directors
Summary:
The Club Director is a full-time, year-round leadership position responsible for the overall management and operation of Team Colorado Volleyball club. This includes overseeing all aspects of the club, from facility management and program development to team formation, scheduling, and fundraising. The Club Director will manage a team of coaches (Lead, Team and various Program coaches), ensuring a positive and productive environment for athletes, families, and staff.
Responsibilities:
Facility Management:
Oversee the opening, cleaning, closing, locking, and alarming of the facility. Develop and manage a facility scheduling plan. This may involve delegating specific duties to coaches at the beginning and end of the night, but ultimate responsibility resides with this role.
Manage relationships with facility rentals (Ribbon, Roller Derby, Lessons, Pride, Grappling, Adult Leagues, etc.) and ensure timely invoice reporting to the CFO.
Leadership & Management:
Manage and supervise TCV coaches, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
Lead and oversee various club functions including: Coaching (Indoor and Outdoor), Media/Marketing, Recruiting, and Team and Player Development.
Develop and implement long-term strategic plans for the club.
Foster a positive and inclusive club culture.
Program Development:
Develop and manage all developmental programs (see full description document).
Plan and execute summer training programs, including open gyms, summer camps/clinics, outdoor programs, and tryouts (see full description document).
Team Formation & Scheduling:
Forecast, build, and create teams. This includes making player offers, hiring coaches, and hosting tryouts. Manage tryout timelines, Tryouts (boys and girls) in July-August. Team formation may continue into September if needed.
Develop, manage and communicate practice schedules, tournament schedules, kickoff events, and parent meetings (see full description document).
Manage coach time clocks and supplemental pay tracking.
Communication & Membership:
Manage team communication using platforms like SportsEngine and GroupMe, including adding team members and facilitating communication.
Manage player and coach memberships in SportsEngine, including sending membership links and monitoring completion.
Create and maintain team information binders and rosters for team coaches.
Travel & Support:
Manage travel planning and logistics (see full description document).
Provide practice, tournament and player evaluations and support for coaches and players.
Conflict Resolution:
Manage conflict resolution, including meetings and communication (emails, calls, texts) related to team issues, parent/player concerns, and coaching issues.
Fundraising:
Develop and implement fundraising opportunities for families and TCV.
Equipment Management:
Evaluate, purchase, and manage equipment needed for club operations, including related software.
External Relationships:
Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with the RMR (Rocky Mountain Region), including attending all relevant meetings including but not limited to director meetings and committee meetings (e.g., seeding committee).
Build positive relationships and communication with other clubs in the area to foster healthy competition.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
Experience in sports management.
IMPACT coaching certification at a minimum.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience in developing and managing budgets.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passion for volleyball and youth development.
