What are the responsibilities and job description for the IC Single Drivers for North East Region position at Team DriveAway?
Job Description:
We need drivers to pick up and deliver our customers vehicles in the NE part of the U.S. Mostly in and around the New England area, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maine and New York. Drivers must be on time to pick up and drop off locations and complete all paperwork in full when transporting for us. Drivers are responsible for transportation costs to and from pick up and drop off locations and can pick what loads they want to move for us from our load board.
All loads first come first serve, no seniority. We ask that our drivers transport 3-5 load for us each month to stay active with our company. Drivers must stay in weekly communication with their dispatcher even if they are not transporting for us at that time. Drivers must use the MOTIVE app when keeping and turning in accurate daily driver logs.
WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAPER LOGS! Drivers have an opportunity to qualify for many different bonus payout programs each month if they meet certain criteria. This is an INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR DRIVING POSITION for CLASS A and CLASS B CDL DRIVERS. This is NOT a NON CDL Driving Position! This is NOT a company or Owner/Operator driving position. This is an OTR driving position, NOT A LOCAL OR REGIONAL driving position.
No equipment required. Job Requirements:
Must have CDL Class A or Class B. This is NOT A NON CDL driving position! Endorsements are preferred but not required. Must have at least 1 full year of verifiable OTR CMV driving experience within the last 3 years. Must have relatively clean reports and employment history.
Must have knowledge of DOT HOS rules and regulations and keep daily, accurate DOT logs using the MOTIVE app while transporting for us. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAPER LOGS! Must turn in all paperwork on time and have great communication skills. Drivers must check in with their dispatcher at least 1 time each week, even if not on a load for us.
Must be at pick up and drop off locations on time. Must behave in a positive, professional manner at all times. This is an INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR DRIVING POSITION, NOT a company or Owner/Operator Position. This is an OTR driving position, NOT A LOCAL OR REGIONAL driving position.
No equipment required. Wage Range: 0.72 - 1.35 per mile
General Description of Benefits: Drivers are paid Per mile PLUS FUEL SURCHARGE. Fuel Surcharge rate depends on type truck, miles driven for load to be delivered, and national fuel average that week. Drivers should not pay more than $1.45/gal out of pocket. Reimbursed to driver per mile along with per mile pay.
The pay range per mile including fuel surcharge is around .90 - $1.35 depending on the type of load being transported. We offer bonus payout programs such as Referral Bonus, Clean Inspection Bonus, Mileage Bonus, Load Bonus and Safety Bonus. Drivers must meet certain criteria to qualify for each payout bonus program.
