Description
Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is hiring a CAD Technician for our Professional Services Group's Chantilly, VA office.
The CAD Technician will be responsible for working closely with engineering, right-of-way, land survey, and permitting teams to produce high quality utility construction plans. You will work on exciting projects for high-profile companies. This is an entry level position and a great way to further your AutoCAD skills and gain experience in utility design from industry experts.
As a CAD Technician, your responsibilities will include the following:
Assist designers in creating utility construction plans- Assist designers in creating permit drawings and erosion and sediment control plans
- Learn utility design and construction concepts
Revise plans as directed by lead designers
The successful candidate will have the following skills:
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD- Willingness to learn utility design concepts
- Attention to detail
- Desire to work in a team environment
- Experience with telecommunications and/or utility design or construction a plus
Associates or Bachelors degree a plus
Starting pay of $23 - 26 / hour dependent upon experience.
