What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brake & Front End Technician position at Team Ford Las Vegas?
TEAM FORD LINCOLN is hiring a Brake & Front-End Technician to join our growing team. You will be responsible for primarily diagnosing and repairing issues related to a vehicle's front-end components, including suspension, steering, wheel, tires, and alignment, utilizing specialized equipment to ensure proper ride, handling, and tire wear by adjusting components as needed; in addition, you will also be responsible for identifying problems with steering geometry and making necessary adjustments to maintain optimal vehicle performance.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 2 year's automotive technician/mechanic experience or knowledge
- ASE and manufacturer certification desired
- Ability to identify brake concerns, recommend and perform repairs
- Practical work experience in alignment, suspension, and front-end repairs
- Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, steering, suspension, brakes and air conditioning to required specifications
- Perform vehicle inspection to identify necessary repairs
- Inspect and test vehicles to determine necessary and applicable repair work
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for service repairs
- Participate in on-going company and manufacturing training and education programs, to stay current and abreast of changing technology
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience with brake and front end
- ASE and manufacturer certification
- Previous experience at an automotive dealership and strong understanding of the service drive
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic computer competencies
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with the ability to collaborate with others effectively
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
- Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
