The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their fulltime Assistant Learning Management System Administrator in the Office of Technical Education/Georgia Virtual Technical Connection. Reporting to the Executive Director, Georgia Virtual Technical Connection (GVTC), this position is responsible for The Assistant LMS Administrator assists in the overall management of the day-to-day operations of the LMS; Provides assistance to college coordinators, instructors, and facilitators with functions and utilization of the LMS; Maintains a deep understanding of all components, features and functions of the LMS: works closely with the Program Support Specialist supporting all third party applications as well as the design, development and programming of internal applications. **This position is open to current TCSG employees only, who meet the minimum qualifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in the management of the LMS operation
· Tests system to ensure reliability/availability
· Assists in the design, development, and implementation of queries for the LMS system
· Assists in the management, and maintenance of database content
· Assists in the management and oversight of the configuration and deployment of the Intelligent Learning Platform (ILP)
· Extracts available data upon requests from college coordinators
· Stays current on LMS changes and updates
· Participates in weekly Conference Calls with the GVTC’s selected LMS’s project manager and communicates with project manager as needed
Assists in the development and maintenance of database driven applications/forms
· Designs, codes, tests, modifies and debugs applications
· Tests software and analyzes output
· Makes modifications to the applications as needed to achieve the proper output of data
· Assists in the modification of applications as needed for subsequent requests as technology and/or the internal database changes
· Assists in the design, development, and implementation of applications/forms as required
· Recommends design improvements
Assists in managing the LMS Ticket System
· Submits and tracks system bugs/application issues to ensure prompt resolution by contracted LMS vendor's support team in a timely fashion
· Manages, works, and assigns LMS helpdesk tickets
· Works with LMS helpdesk providers to resolve LMS issues
· Monitors and maintains LMS tickets accuracy and currency
· Relays/communicates solutions to end users as required
Assists in the evaluation of policies, procedures and processes
Special projects and additional duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Associate’s degree Computer Information Science or related field *and* Three (3) years of work-related experience
· Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's Degree, Computer Information Science or related field.
· Learning Management System Administration experience (Blackboard).
· Webinar application (WebEx/Teams).
· Microsoft Excel
· Customer Service/Helpdesk Experience
