Job Summary;
Under general supervision, assists instructor/teacher with providing education and/or training to
students. Prepares Instructional materials and maintains order and cleanliness in the learning environment Plans and conducts child development activities. Monitors and supervises various classroom functions.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities;
• Assists In presenting subject matter
• Assists instructor/teacher In maintaining an effective learning environment
• Assists students with meeting and maintaining individual physical needs
• Completes documentation of student progress
• Distributes teaching materials
• Keeps records of dally observations and information about activities
• Observes and evaluates individual children
• Operates duplicating machines and other equipment as needed to produce or reproduce program related materials
• Prepares lesson materials, bulletin board displays, exhibits, equipment, and demonstrations
• Request and maintain assigned classroom supplies, materials and equipment
• Sanitizes toys and play equipment
• Tutors and assists Individually or In small groups to reinforce learning concepts
Entry Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED AND One year of experience working in an Instructional/childcare setting OR One year of experience required at the lower level Instruction Paraprofessional 1 (EDS010) or position equivalent.
Qualifications to be determined by hiring organization based upon position requirements.
