JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Administer the operation of Testing Management Branch at the Office of Materials and Testing
· Monitor and direct quality assurance program for assigned Branch.
· Supervise administrative functions of the Branch.
· Manage training activities for Branch, DOT and industry personnel.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The selected candidate must meet the advertised minimum qualifications to include State Entry Qualifications as well as Agency Specific Qualifications
STATE ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:
· Associate's degree and experience in a lead worker, team leader, or supervisory role
· OR One (1) year of experience position equivalent.
AGENCY SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must possess Roadway Testing Technician (RTT) and Quality Control Technician (QCT) Level 1 certifications
· Experience with Construction Materials as related to GDOT projects and specifications.
· Three years of supervisory experience in a field testing and/or laboratory testing environment.
· Experience in reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and test results, and reviewing and evaluating applicable information to effectively make sound recommendations and decisions.
· Experience applying innovative solutions, new knowledge, and technology to make organizational, office, and/or unit improvements
· Experience using spreadsheets, databases, and other computer software (e.g. AASHTOWare/411 Report) to analyze and manage data.
· Experience and knowledge monitoring budget activities of a branch/unit.
· Commitment to providing quality customer service
AGENCY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Extensive knowledge and experience overseeing AASHTO resource proficiency samples and laboratory assessments.
· Experience managing consultant contracts for the Department.

In addition, an employee must have an overall e-Performance rating score of three (3) or higher on their most current evaluation. Human Resources may remove any employee from consideration for selection who is pending a disciplinary action; however, if the action is resolved in the employee’s favor, he or she will be allowed to compete.
