Inventory Control Coordinator

Position Summary
HornerXpress is seeking a responsible Inventory Control Coordinator to oversee and manage the inventory of goods and materials within a company. This role ensures that inventory levels are accurately tracked, orders are properly managed, and products are available when needed, all while minimizing costs and waste.
Key Responsibilities:Research Back Ordered Items:
- Review all items on back order.
- Compare perpetual quantity to customer orders, back orders from HXW & branch transfers.
- Search for items in bin locations, secondary locations, overstocks and other warehouse areas.
Daily Operation / Morning:
- Pull all items for delivery routes and Special runs.
- Daily truck checker for designated route deemed by dispatcher.
Conduct Cycle Counts:
- Conduct monthly requirements of minimum quantity to meet department goal.
- Planned schedules and random selection of products located in warehouses.
Maintain Bin Locations:
- Update data locations in system for all teammates to locate items in the warehouses.
- Consistently replace physical bins and Relocate bins for proper allocation of space
Label / Product Identification Maintenance:
- Visually inspect all labeling pertaining to the bin location and all labels on the actual bins identifying the product in that location
- Ensure all overstock labeling is clearly written for identification
Warehouses:
- Control movement of products between different branch warehouses
- Delete alternate bin locations from satellite warehouses when all product is depleted.
- Create secondary locations when overstock product is moved to satellite warehouses.
- Maintain proper supplies needed at satellite warehouses to keep operational functions offsite.
Warehouse Pallet Racks/Shelving:
- Continually evaluate all pallet racking and shelving in warehouses by visual inspection.
- Identify all shelving that have safety concerns.
- Reconfigure and store all racking and shelving as needed
HornerXpress Reconfigurations:
- Follow detailed instructions involving new buildouts at other locations.
- Set up, organize and create labeling for bin locations and product holders.
Annual Physical Inventory:
- complete bin verification process accurately prior to physical inventory.
- Re-label and organize all shelving to represent a clear identification of items in each area
- Test count all overstock pallets and support all count Teams during physical inventory checks.
- Act as the dedicated evening Team member on final stages of physical inventory checks.
- Reconciliation of inventory on the week following physical Inventory checks (recount items which have discrepancy and need review).

• Two years’ warehousing experience
• One year inventory control experience a plus
• Forklift experience
• Able to lift 50-100 lbs.
• Word/Excel experience a plus
