Responsibilities:
As a results-driven Territory Manager (outside sales), this employee will spearhead customer relationship growth and will identify unique business opportunities, as well as excel in surpassing the company’s sales goals. The strategic approach of this individual will be key in driving revenue growth and expanding our presence in the industry. Job responsibilities include:
- New Business Development: Identify and research potential clients in the designated territory, leveraging your understanding of market trends and customer needs to generate leads.
- Prospecting – Visit applicable jobsites, offices, and review specifications
- Client Relationship Building: Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients, understanding their requirements and pain points to offer tailored solutions that meet their business objectives. Establish personal relationships.
- Consultative Selling: Employ a consultative approach to sales, effectively articulating the value proposition of our products/services and how they address client challenges.
- Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities, and customer interactions using our CRM system to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations and close deals while maintaining a customer-centric approach that ensures mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Goal Achievement: Consistently meet and exceed assigned sales quotas and targets, demonstrating your commitment to achieving exceptional results.
- Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities to adapt your sales strategies effectively.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding, project implementation, and ongoing customer success.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports to the sales manager, detailing progress toward goals, challenges faced, and recommended strategies for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of at least 3 years of successful outside sales experience
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a competitive environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build lasting client relationships.
- Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and presentation skills.
- Results-driven mindset with a proven ability to close deals and achieve revenue goals.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and other sales-related software.
- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and embrace new sales strategies.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
