We are looking for an experienced and driven Traffic Signal Project Manager to join our team. Job Summary:
The Traffic Signal Project Manager will oversee and manage traffic signal projects and operations in Des Moines, IA. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing projects related to traffic systems, including signalization, roadways, and transportation networks. Have background in traffic signals (Preferred), infrastructure management (Preferred), and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and oversee traffic infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Manage the installation, and maintenance of traffic signal systems and signage.
- Work closely with local government agencies, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project alignment and effective communication.
- Ensure all traffic infrastructure projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
- Evaluate the performance of traffic systems and infrastructure, making recommendations for improvements based on data and feedback.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, progress reports, and compliance records. Provide regular updates to stakeholders and prepare final project reports.
- IMSA Level II certification. (Preferred)
- Proven experience in traffic infrastructure management. (Preferred)
- Strong knowledge of traffic control systems, road design, and transportation regulations.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for traffic analysis and project management.
- Ability to work effectively with government agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Must be able to be insured under company vehicle insurance policy.
- Ability to perform on-site inspections and assessments.
- Capability to work in various environmental conditions and manage project-related physical tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of working in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.
- Stamina to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
Work Environment:

- Primarily outdoor work, often in challenging weather conditions.
- Exposure to construction sites with varying levels of noise, dust, and heavy equipment operation.
- Frequent interaction with crew members, subcontractors, and other site personnel.
- Comply with OSHA safety guidelines and wear PPE as needed.
- Report hazards and follow safe work practices.
