Job Overview:
This position plays a critical role in managing our warehouse operations and supporting timely delivery between our facilities. This role must have ability to perform warehouse management, be capable of light mechanical work, and possess a valid Commercial Driver's License Class A (CDL A) to handle deliveries safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and organize inventory within the warehouse.
- Perform routine deliveries between company warehouses and job sites in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Conduct light mechanical work, including basic repairs and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure the safe transport and delivery of materials to multiple locations.
- Track and report inventory levels, shipping details, and incoming/outgoing deliveries.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and restocking of materials.
- Adhere to safety standards and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on delivery vehicles.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
- DOT inspect trucks/trailers annually
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License Class A (CDL A) is required.
- Previous warehouse and delivery experience preferred.
- Ability to perform basic mechanical tasks and equipment maintenance.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow safety protocols.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and inventory systems is a plus.
- Must be able to be insured under company vehicle insurance policy.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of working in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.
- Stamina to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
- Outdoor:
- Primarily outdoor work, often in challenging weather conditions.
- Exposure to construction sites with varying levels of noise, dust, and heavy equipment operation.
- Frequent interaction with crew members, subcontractors, and other site personnel.
- Comply with OSHA safety guidelines and wear PPE as needed.
- Report hazards and follow safe work practices.
