Our client, Job Corps, is a national career training program dedicated to empowering young adults. We are partnering with them to establish an IT Academy Pilot Program that is a dynamic, structured program designed to equip young adults with both the technical expertise and essential durable skills needed for high-demand IT careers. As a Part-Time IT Academy Instructor, you'll play a vital role in preparing the next generation for success in the tech industry.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Facilitate online and hybrid learning, experiential activities, collaboration, and holistic development using an already developed curriculum.
- Collaborate with industry experts to enhance the student experience
- Support students' academic and emotional growth
- Prepare students for industry-recognized certifications (ISC2, Data , DataSys )
- Utilize learning management systems to track student progress
- Participate in program evaluation and improvement
Qualifications:
- Strong technical expertise in IT fields (programming, networking, cybersecurity, data analytics)
- 5 years of industry experience in a relevant IT role
- Passion for teaching, mentoring, and fostering a positive learning environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptability, flexibility, and a willingness to learn new technologies
- Commitment to Job Corps' mission and values
