The Inpatient Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operational support of the the Behavioral Health Technician staff within an inpatient detox and residential program. This role involves managing, mentoring, and providing support to a team of technicians who assist clients in their recovery process. The supervisor will ensure that all staff adhere to best practices, provide high-quality care to clients, and ensure the building is safe, clean, and supportive of the healing process.
Supervise and provide leadership to the behavioral health technician team, including performing duties of role as needed. Conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide feedback for staff development.
Facilitate training and orientation for new staff members.
Ensure that behavioral health technicians deliver compassionate and effective care to clients in detox and residential setting.
Investigate and resolve related client complaints and grievances.
Monitors client census and oversees nutrition programs.
Collaborate with admissions, clinical, and medical staff to execute program policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in behavioral health care setting. Provide guidance and support during crisis situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of both clients and staff.
Train staff in de-escalation techniques and emergency response protocols.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of client care and staff activities.
Prepare reports and maintain records in compliance with organizational policies.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, nurses, and other care coordination staff, to provide holistic care.
Collaborate with the environmental services and facilities staff to ensure building cleanliness and safety.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and effective communication.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: Required: High School Diploma or GED.
EXPERIENCE: Required: Minimum of 1 year of experience in Behavioral Health and SUD treatment. Preferred: Minimum of 3 year experience in
supervising teams.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Required: Valid CDCA Preferred: QMHS, and/or CPI Certification. Required: BLS CPR Certification
