Inpatient Detox / Residential Nursing Manager
Full Time - Salary Position with On Call
Position Summary
The Inpatient Detox / Residential Nursing Manager will oversee the nursing staff and medical operations within the inpatient detox and residential facility. The Nursing Manager will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality client care, managing nursing staff, coordinating client care activities, and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Job Functions / Duties :
- Supervise and manage a team of nurses, including, hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, ensuring efficient workflows, optimal resource allocation, and effective utilization of staff.
- Ensure that nursing staff provide appropriate care and treatment to clients.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of care by monitoring adherence to quality improvement initiatives, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assess and manage potential risks to client safety and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Advocate for the needs and rights of clients with behavioral health complications, ensuring that they receive compassionate and effective care.
- Implement and oversee nursing policies and procedures.
- Ensures that documentation is completed timely and accurately.
- Provides leadership and support during crises or emergencies involving clients.
- Provide education and training to nursing staff on best practices in behavioral health care, new treatment modalities, and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders, including medical staff, administrators, and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Serve as a liaison between the nursing department and other departments, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as medical providers and therapists, to develop and implement comprehensive and individualized treatment plans for clients. :
- Communicate with other employees as necessary to promote quality client care.
- Always maintain professionalism and establish and maintain professional boundaries with employees and clients. Exercise sound professional judgment and seek assistance as necessary to promptly and effectively manage situations and patients.
- Protect the privacy of all patient information in accordance with the organization's privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a healthcare provider. Failure to comply with the organization's policies and procedures on patient privacy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
- May access protected health information (PHI) and other patent information only to the extent that is necessary to complete your job duties. The incumbent may only share such information with those who have need-to-know specific patient information you have in your possession to complete their job responsibilities related to treatment, payment, or other company operations.
- Participate in all staff meetings and training as scheduled.
- Must follow all defined company policies outlined in the Team Recovery Ohio, LLC Employee Handbook and Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Expected to report, without the threat of retaliation, any concerns regarding company policies and procedures on patient privacy and any observed practices in violation of the policy to their supervisor.
- Report incidents and complete incident reports according to policy in a timely, accurate manner, and give all documentation to the appropriate Director.

Education / License :
Required : Graduated from an accredited college or university with a minimum of an Bachelor's degree in nursing.
License : Ohio Nursing License, Valid BLS CPR Certification
Experience
Required : Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the Behavioral Health and / or SUD treatment field as a Nursing Supervisor or Manager.
