Team Red Dog is seeking a Software Design Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our client's team, focusing on Mixed Reality (MR) and Virtual Reality (VR) applications. This role is a unique opportunity to develop, implement, and document automated testing strategies while working with cutting-edge MR / VR technologies. If you have experience in C#, Android development (Java / Kotlin), and automated testing, this fully remote role supporting PST hours offers exciting hands-on experience.

Top Required Skills (Must-Haves) :

Test Development & Implementation (4 years) : Proven experience in creating, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts.
C# Programming (3-5 years) : Strong proficiency in developing automated tests using C#.
Android Development (3 years) : Experience in Android testing and development using Java / Kotlin.

What makes this role interesting?

The Software Design Engineer in Test will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, usability, and performance of software across Windows PCs and MR / VR platforms. The team is responsible for releasing high-quality products on time, ensuring testing telemetry pipelines function efficiently, and identifying / fixing issues in automated test environments.

This role offers extensive hands-on experience with MR / VR hardware and APIs, including VR headsets like Quest 3 and Quest 3S. The knowledge and experience gained will be highly transferable across various roles in the industry.

How You Will Make an Impact :

Execute automated test plans, scenarios, and scripts for Windows PCs, MR, and VR platforms.

Develop and maintain test automation frameworks for software, database, and hardware interactions.

Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems.

Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve MR-specific issues.

Maintain a defect database, prioritize MR / VR-related bugs, and coordinate resolution efforts.

Plan and schedule testing in alignment with project timelines and scope.

The Expertise You Bring :

8-10 years of experience in software testing, automation, and performance analysis.

Strong C# development background for test automation.

3 years of Android development using Java / Kotlin.

Experience executing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts.

Strong ability to analyze test results and provide optimization recommendations.

Proficiency in writing test documentation, test plans, and reports.

A strong candidate will have :

A hands-on background in MR / VR testing, focusing on automation and performance testing.

Strong programming expertise in C# and Java / Kotlin.

Experience with bug tracking systems and testing Windows-based and Android applications.

Experience in C / C programming.

Background in developing automated tests for VR / MR applications.
