What are the responsibilities and job description for the Geotechnical Driller position at Team Services Inc.?
Overview
Perform geotechnical and environmental drilling operations as directed by Proj ect Engineers while adhering to company and industry standards for sampling, testing, and safety.
Duties
- Assist in locating borings and meeting with utility companies for utility clearance in the work area.
- Perform Shelby tube sampling, split-spoon testing, bedrock coring, and other testing and sampling that may be required.
- Work with the drill helper to make sme accurate boring logs are developed and samples are properly labeled.Perform all work in a safe manner in accordance with company policy and industry standards.
- Perform maintenance and repairs to rigs and other drilling equipment as necessary and maintain up-to-date inspections.
- Adhere to OSHA regulations and safety protocols at all times while on the construction site.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate drilling operations and ensure project timelines are met.
- Monitor drilling progress and make adjustments as necessary to achieve project goals.
Skills
- Proficient in heavy equipment operation with a focus on drilling machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment issues.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL (Class A preferred).
- Current Iowa Well Contractor/Well Driller Certification.
- Minimum Five years of experience operating drill rig (CME, Mobile, etc.).

Pay: $26.61 - $28.26 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 50 per week
