Purchasing Assistant
TEAM SPORTING GOODS, Inc., is seeking a reliable individual who is highly motivated, has great organizational skills and interested in joining a company where they can build a career!
Team Sporting Goods, Inc. is a full line institutional athletic dealership located in Marshfield, WI. We provide hundreds of schools and athletic organizations all across the Midwest with a wide variety of athletic products for all sports. We also have an in-house art and screen printing department that can create distinctive designs for any garment or occasion.
Job Duties:
· Create purchase orders
· Work with distributors and vendors to enter purchase orders online or via email
· Determine if stock inventory quantities are sufficient and order more materials when necessary
· Communicate any changes in expected delivery date, quantity, color or item to sales staff, print shop and/or receiving in a timely manner
· Respond to sales rep inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations
· Contact suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems
· Other duties as requested by the Purchasing Manager
Job Requirements:
· Education: High School diploma or equivalent
· Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines
· Ability to reprioritize throughout the day to accommodate changes
· Excellent attention to details and strong organizational skills
· Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with staff and vendors
· Working knowledge of computer software and general computer navigation skills
· Strong computers skills
· A minimum of 1 year of similar experience is strongly preferred; willing to train individuals who demonstrate outstanding communication skills, strong work ethic, motivation and desire to be successful and grow within an organization
· Innovative when it comes to improving current process
· Work independently and problem solve
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
