Team Staffing is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing, restoring, and refinishing vehicles to pre-accident condition. This role requires expertise in assessing damage, using specialized tools, and delivering high-quality workmanship.
Requirements of the Autobody Technician:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.
- Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and flexible.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.
- Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
- Ability to read job orders.
Compensation for the Autobody Technician:
- Position starts at $18.00/hour based on experience.
Responsibilities of the Autobody Technician:
- Damage Assessment: Examine vehicles to determine the extent of damage and estimate repair costs.
- Repair Work: Perform structural and cosmetic repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, frame straightening, and welding.
- Surface Preparation: Sand, grind, and prime vehicle surfaces for painting.
- Painting and Finishing: Apply paint and clear coats using spray guns and ensure a flawless finish.
- Reassembly: Reinstall repaired parts and ensure proper alignment and functionality.
- Quality Control: Inspect completed work for accuracy and finish quality.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Customer Interaction: Occasionally communicate with customers to explain repair processes and timelines.
Hours for the Autobody Technician:
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
