The Aspen Group (TAG) is looking for a leader in Data Governance that will be responsible for organization-wide data governance activities. You will be responsible for implementing controls to improve data quality, cataloging of data, protection of sensitive data and information assets.
You will focus on establishing and ensuring adherence to a modern enterprise data governance framework that outlines standards and best practices to be followed by business and technical areas and review on a frequent cadence.
Roles and Responsibilities
Establish the Data Governance team and enterprise data governance roadmap
Work with the business and technical teams to identify areas for improvement and implement quality controls
Establish a core team to review core business KPIs and measures. Ensure measures are documented, monitored and alerting is in place for deviations on given metrics
Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of the company’s principal information assets
Serve as a liaison between business and functional areas and technology alongside the product teams to ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning
Develop & maintain inventory of the enterprise information maps, including authoritative systems and owners
Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards, data protection standards and adoption requirements across the enterprise
In conjunction with Information Technology and Information Security, provide progress reports to Leadership and oversee periodic updates to the Data Governance Roadmap
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in large-scale data, project management and oversight experience.
Knowledge of industry leading data quality and data protection management practices
Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection
Knowledge of data related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues
Knowledge of risk data architecture and technology solutions
Internally and externally recognized subject matter expert that positively influences the way things are done
Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, management information systems, or information management
$120,000-$145,000 annual compensation
