Our continued growth has created an opportunity to join our IT Team as an Enterprise Applications Architect. We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Applications Architect to implement enterprise-level application systems that align with our business objectives and technology strategy. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business needs and functional & technical solutions, ensuring that all software applications are scalable, secure, and efficient. As an Enterprise Applications Architect, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, and IT operations to define application requirements, recommend best practices, and oversee the technical execution of projects.
Responsibilities
Application Technology Strategy & Thought Leadership
- Align application architecture with enterprise architecture and long-term IT strategy.
- Develop and maintain reference architectures/blueprints that are aligned with the enterprise objectives and initiatives.
- Resolve architecture issues and guide application integration architecture implementation.
- Provide thought leadership on application evaluation and expertise in the target domains.
- Apply extensive knowledge of business drivers, technology strategy and software architecture goals to develop and deliver clear, comprehensive data, technical and application architectures
- Stay abreast of technology and vendor trends and communicate relevant concepts and implications to business and IT stakeholders
- Provide technical leadership to the solution delivery process with solution architectures to drive key architecture decisions and ensure enterprise fit and sustainability
Architecture Design
- Design application architectures that meet business needs and ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Create blueprints and technical documentation for the application team to follow. Champion & lead end-to-end journey to execute blueprint & roadmap
Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends, incorporating them into architecture planning.
- Identify opportunities for system improvements and drive innovation.
- Build organizational knowledge of external and internal technical capabilities and trends, provides leadership and facilitate the evaluation of vendors and products.
- Develop solution architecture and guide solution designs for large cross-functional projects in areas like Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance and HR.
System Integration
- Design integration strategies for applications to interact seamlessly with existing systems and third-party services.
- Oversee the implementation of APIs, middleware, and other integration tools. usage.
Performance and Security
- Ensure applications meet performance benchmarks and security requirements.
- Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, or equivalent combination of education & experience is required with an emphasis in Information Systems, or related field strongly preferred.
- 5 years of experience in applications, with at least 3 years in an architectural role.
- Experience with enterprise software platforms such as ERP, CRM, EMR strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in designing application architectures for both on-premises and cloud environments
- Working knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards preferred
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps) and tools.
- Hands-on experience with programming languages and web technologies.
- Expertise in database design and management
- Familiarity with APIs design, integrations, and microservices architecture
- Strong analytical skills, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, especially with remote teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Annual pay range: $122,000-166,000 /year
