As a reflection of our current needs, we are seeking a Junior Microsoft 365 Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. As a Junior Microsoft 365 Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective utilization of Microsoft 365 services within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge in one (or more) of the Microsoft 365 modules, with desire to learn the rest.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in one of the Microsoft 365 modules, which could include, but not limited to:
Microsoft Exchange Online
Microsoft SharePoint Online
Microsoft Teams
Microsoft OneDrive for Business
Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
Microsoft Azure Active Directory
Administration: Proactively manage, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 services across all relevant modules to ensure seamless user experiences and optimal performance.
Security and Compliance: Ensure Microsoft 365 services are configured and maintained in accordance with security policies, industry standards, and regulatory compliance.
Incident Management: Respond promptly to incidents related to Microsoft 365 services, investigate root causes, and provide effective resolutions to minimize disruptions.
Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of Microsoft 365 updates, new features, and enhancements. Recommend and implement improvements to optimize the use of Microsoft 365 services.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps for reference and knowledge sharing.
User Training and Support: Provide training sessions and support to end-users to foster effective and efficient utilization of Microsoft 365 applications.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate Microsoft 365 services into existing systems and applications.
Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor the health and performance of Microsoft 365 services and generate regular reports on system performance, usage, and trends.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft 365 services
Demonstrated knowledge in one of the Microsoft 365 modules
Strong administration skills across all other Microsoft 365 modules
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automating tasks and configurations
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 licensing models and subscription plans
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with teams and provide user support
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft 365 certifications
Compensation: $80,000-$100,000
