Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and technically skilled QC Systems Technician to join our quality assurance team. This position is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting quality control systems and equipment, ensuring they are functioning effectively to meet product quality standards. The QC Systems Technician will also assist in the development, implementation, and optimization of quality control systems, procedures, and databases to support operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
System Maintenance & Calibration: Ensure the proper functioning and calibration of quality control equipment, software, and systems, including inspection and testing tools, automated systems, and measurement instruments.
Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve issues related to QC systems, equipment malfunctions, and data discrepancies. Perform repairs or escalate to higher-level technicians as necessary.
Data Management & Reporting: Monitor, collect, and analyze data from QC systems to track performance and quality trends. Generate reports to highlight system status, performance metrics, and any issues requiring attention.
System Optimization: Assist in the optimization of quality control systems, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of automated processes. Recommend improvements and implement upgrades as necessary.
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of equipment calibration, maintenance activities, system adjustments, and troubleshooting efforts. Ensure all activities comply with quality management standards, including ISO or other relevant regulations.
Collaboration & Support: Work closely with quality control inspectors, engineers, and production teams to ensure that systems and equipment align with quality standards. Provide technical support for troubleshooting and system-related issues.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability and accuracy of QC systems and support the overall quality objectives of the organization.
Training & Guidance: Provide training to staff on the use and maintenance of QC systems, ensuring all team members understand operational procedures and best practices.
Software Management: Oversee the operation and performance of quality control software, ensuring it is correctly integrated with other systems and accurately captures relevant data for analysis.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Quality Assurance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience: 2 years of experience in a quality control or technical support role, with a focus on systems and equipment management (Preferred).
Experience with quality control systems, measurement equipment, and related software is highly preferred.
Hands-on experience with calibration, troubleshooting, and maintaining quality control instrumentation.
Skills:
Strong understanding of quality control processes, systems, and tools.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities to resolve system and equipment issues quickly.
Familiarity with industrial automation, PLCs, SCADA systems, and quality control software.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and software tools used for data collection and analysis.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to report findings and interact with cross-functional teams.
