Tutor! Come join the organization with Team as its first name! Team Wellness Center is looking to hire a part-time dedicated and passionate Tutor to support students in their learning journey. The tutor will be responsible for providing personalized academic support to students in a variety of subjects. The primary goal is to help students understand key concepts, improve their skills, and achieve their academic goals. The tutor will assess students’ needs, provide instructional support, and develop personalized lesson plans to ensure student success.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with students of various age groups.
- Certification or training in teaching or tutoring.
- Knowledge of special education strategies (if applicable)
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must have a high level of independent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Must demonstrate effective communication skills.
- Ability to establish rapport with learners
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with educational standards and student learning objectives.
- Utilize various learning technologies to enhance the tutoring experience.
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation.
- Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding progress and areas for improvement.
- Maintain records of student performance and attendance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly in early childhood education.
- Strong knowledge of classroom management techniques and special education practices.
- Familiarity with learning technologies and their application in educational settings.
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including children and those with special needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles.
- A passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
