Job Description

We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join a clinical team with a Neurology clinic. You will perform the routine duties of triage, recording medical histories, and preparing the treatment rooms. Responsibilities :

Take vitals and room patients.

Cleans exam rooms as needed.

Assists physicians with patient exams and procedures as needed.

Answer incoming calls, check messages, and return calls in a timely manner.

Obtain benefits, pre-certifications, authorizations, and enter information in the account notes in EHR.

Provide detailed messages and prescription refills to the physician and / or nurse; pull and provide medical charts throughout the day for clinicians.

Provide charts for next visit with appropriate paperwork and pending lab work with notes from prior visits.

Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work independently and part of a team.

Qualifications and Requirements :

Two (2) years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician office or clinic.

Must have completed a Medical Assistant program.

High School diploma is required.

Strong communication and organizational skills are required.

Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
