Our team is seeking a skilled physician to join our team as a Medical Director of Emergency Medicine. This role requires the ability to provide high-quality medical care to patients in both the emergency department and hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients in the emergency department and hospital setting
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care
- Conduct thorough evaluations, perform physical examinations, and order appropriate diagnostic tests
- Stabilize critically ill or injured patients and coordinate their transfer, if necessary
- Round on patients, admissions, discharges, and coordinate communication with specialists and nurses
Requirements:
- Board certification or eligibility in either emergency medicine, internal medicine, or family medicine
- Valid state medical license (Kentucky) or ability to obtain one
- Experience in both emergency medicine and hospital medicine preferred but not required for all positions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
