Emergency Medicine and Hospitalist Physician Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated clinician to join our team of award-winning emergency medicine and hospitalist physicians. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to patients in both the emergency department and hospital setting.
About the Role:
- This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in both emergency medicine and hospital medicine.
- The HM portion mainly consists of admissions, discharges, and rounding on patients.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
- Board certification or eligibility in either emergency medicine (EM), internal medicine (IM) or family medicine (FM)
- Valid state medical license (Kentucky) or the ability to obtain one
- Experience in both emergency medicine and hospital medicine is preferred but may not be required for all positions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Availability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Responsibilities:
Emergency Medicine:
- Provide timely and high-quality medical care to patients in the emergency department
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with acute injuries or illnesses in an efficient manner
- Conduct thorough evaluations, perform physical examinations, and order appropriate diagnostic tests
- Stabilize critically ill or injured patients and coordinate their transfer, if necessary
Hospital Medicine:
- Rounding on patients
- Admissions
- Discharges
- Coordinate and communicate with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals involved in patient care
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient encounters and progress in medical records
