In the Great Smoky Mountains, TeamHealth is seeking a dynamic hospital medicine (HM) medical director to lead our team and drive excellence in inpatient care at LeConte Medical Center located in Sevierville, Tennessee.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical oversight and mentorship to hospitalists and other medical professionals within the department.
- Quality Improvement: Develop and implement quality initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes, satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with hospital leadership in long-term planning, workforce development, and resource management.
- Team Development: Facilitate ongoing professional development, training, and performance evaluations of hospitalist staff.
- Collaboration: Foster positive relationships with nursing, case management, and specialty service lines to promote interdisciplinary care.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO Degree: From an accredited medical school.
- Board Certification: In internal medicine (IM) or family medicine (FM).
- Clinical Experience: Minimum of 3 years in hospital medicine.
- Leadership Experience: Previous leadership or administrative experience in hospital medicine is preferred but not required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
