We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Underground Excavator to join our team at our Auburndale, FL location. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating heavy machinery and a strong understanding of construction site protocols. This role involves working on various excavation projects, ensuring that all tasks are performed safely and efficiently while adhering to industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment including Excavators, loaders, skid steers, trailers, and medium duty trucks for excavation tasks.
- Perform digging operations to prepare sites for construction, ensuring precision and adherence to project specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate excavation efforts and maintain a safe work environment.
- Follow all safety regulations and protocols on the construction site to minimize risks.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and job progress.
Experience
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly in underground excavation.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to the maintenance and repair of heavy machinery is a plus.
- Previous experience working on construction sites is essential, with a focus on teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to operate tanker trucks is advantageous but not mandatory.
- CDL holder is a plus
