Primary Function
Seeking a junior designer with a passion for short-form content and concepting, designing, and executing high-end motion graphics for broadcast, digital, and social projects in a fast-paced agency production environment. We are looking for someone who has the technical skills and an eye for critical details to facilitate media workflows in a fast-turnaround environment. They will assist Art Directors and other creative colleagues in the creation of social content for a global tech brand.
Duties & Responsibilities
Work closely with Art Directors to design and execute content as standalone projects or integrated with video and online / mobile contentMeet with team to establish the desired feel and look for the video to be created as well as the purpose of the video's creationConform to client-specific design requirements, from conservative to cutting edgeDevelop unique creative concepts, designs and storyboarding to support desired messagesDemonstrate understanding of branding and marketing strategies and implementationProvide design services in support of video, web and other assigned projectsIntegrate design elements into finished video projects, presentations, web or print materialsBe constantly vigilant throughout all projects for correct details and accurate program contentPerform basic troubleshooting of design suite softwareManage the proper cataloging, tagging and archiving of completed projectsAdapt to ongoing changes in processes, priorities, tasks and workloadWork in the most proactive, creative and professional manner to provide the highest level of service to our clientsActively bring innovative creative solutions to the tableOther duties as assignedSkills & Qualifications
Deep understanding of branding and marketing strategies and implementationDemonstrated ability for visual storytellingDeep experience in editing / designing short form video content for popular social networks such as TW, FB, IG and LIFamiliar with social network editing techniques such as GIF's, super-fast cuts, ramping, and various motion techniques that work well on social mediaProficient in both Mac & PC operationSolid understanding of the Adobe Creative Cloud platform, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Media Encoder and After EffectsCapable of custom graphic design, unique illustration, exceptional typography and impactful animations in 2D or 3D image formatsDetail-oriented and precise with desire for a flawless final productStrong results orientation with a flexible attitude to deliver seamless and timely services to clientsCapable of concept development / articulation, previsualization, and storyboardingWell organized and capable of handling multiple ongoing assignmentsFully capable of accurate time and resource budgetingMust have a commitment to excellence and to ongoing education in motion design, current conceptual & stylistic trends, industry landscape, and to the mastery of their craftCandidate should be willing to travel on occasionEducation & Experience
3 years' video editing and motion design experienceAgency broadcast experience preferredBachelor's in Design, Video / Film Production or related field is requiredExcellent online samples that demonstrate short-form work for major clients
