backfill for the Manager, Brand & Integrated Communications person who is on maternity leave.The Manager, Brand & Integrated Communications is responsible for the creation of multi-channel communications content and ensuring brand integrity in external communications.This role will source, create and oversee content management, ensuring consistent brand messaging across the organization’s channels and will work closely with Country program offices to demonstrate the impact of the organization’s programs.Duties & ResponsibilitiesLiaise with program and country-based teams to tease out stories of impact.Serve as the focal point for the Marketing and Development Departments to streamline content requests and shape programmatic and impact content, in support of fundraising goalsWork UK and US Communications teams to organize, streamline and grow collection of stories and multimedia assetsSupervise the social media officer to create compelling content for social media channelsCollaborates across program country offices to develop a meaningful process for collection of stories and relevant assets that is flexible and scalable for Country OfficesLiaise and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Advocacy, Business Development and external agencies / vendors on projects to maximize relevant communication opportunitiesStay current on communications best practices and technologiesLead global campaigns such as International Women’s Day, World Refugee Week, Holiday giving etc., managing the content development process for such campaigns.Develop and implement an integrated editorial calendar to effectively engage stakeholders with the goal of elevating its brand and increasing supportersWrite and collaborate with other writers and designers, across Departments and externally, to create compelling storytelling pieces for digital and print channels, with appropriate visuals, that demonstrate the impact of organization’s work, engage supporters including new donors (individual, foundations, institution and corporate) as well as retain existing supporters.Be highly proactive and strategic in identifying and managing storytelling opportunities across the organization, including working closely with program teams in Country Offices and Communications teams in UK and Germany officesEdit, produce, disseminate and manage branded collaterals such as the global annual report, factsheets, brochures, program impact collaterals, campaign collaterals in support of donor stewardship and the organization’s fundraising goalsOversee creation of content to support Marketing and Development communication needs, including storytelling for campaignsWork closely with the Sr. Communications Officer and Global Communications Coordinator to develop rapid response communications including supporting disseminating of relevant contentAnalyze performance metrics for content engagement, including marketing campaigns to understand effectiveness of communications strategy for continuous improvementChampion brand in all external messaging including collateralsSupport Country Offices with brand compliance, providing recommendations for local adaptations where relevantMaintain and monitor brand integrity, ensuring implementation of brand guidelines across all channels and collateralsConduct Brand training with internal teams and partners as requiredManage content writing and design projects from concept to completion and evaluation, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and budget, include the appropriate stakeholders and meet strategic goals of the DepartmentManage Communications requests supporting the content needs of the organization across Marketing, Development and Program teams as neededSkills & QualificationsAbility to troubleshoot and be flexible in a fast-moving, multi-tasking environment with numerous deadlinesWorking knowledge of tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva Microsoft Teams and Office appsWorking knowledge of CMS like Drupal, WordPressExcellent written and verbal communication skillsOutstanding attention to detail and organizational skillsSelf-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively with a team.Ability to balance and prioritize tasks and stay focused in a fast-paced, demanding environment.Education & ExperienceUndergraduate degree in communications, or related field7 – 9 years of experience in communicationsSuperior English language writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with focus and experience in synthesizing complex content into essential, compelling messages for a range of mediums including websites, long form content (blogs, Op-eds, etc.) as well as short form such newslettersExperience managing and overseeing creative projects, including working with designers and multi-media content producers as well as experience in directing the production of social media content
