Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our TEAM. The ideal candidate will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. This role involves working with toddlers and preschool-aged children, including those with disabilities, to foster their growth in literacy, language, physical, creative and social/emotional development.
Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing curriculum and daily lesson plans.
- Provide individualized support to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities and autism.
- Engage children in educational activities that promote literacy and math skills.
- Foster a positive classroom environment through effective behavior management techniques.
- Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with parents and staff to support each child's growth and development.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom space conducive to learning.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- 18 years of age
- Negative TB test
- Clear background check
- Previous experience in childcare or as an assistant teacher is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
