Job Description
The Workday Payroll Absence Time Tracking/Scheduling (PATTS) Specialist will be a hands-on Payroll consulting partner for our Workday PATTS implementation. The specialist will provide Workday functional and technical knowledge and expertise on deployment activities and deliverables related to the implementation. The specialist will report to the Senior Manager of HR Technology within the HRIS function and work closely with the Senior Manager of Payroll and key stakeholders. The project's scope is in the USA and Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the senior manager of payroll and key stakeholders to understand and document business requirements for workday time and attendance, basic scheduling, and payroll implementation.
- Deliver functional and technical knowledge and expertise on business processes, data mapping, organizations, and system configurations.
- Provide product knowledge and guidance throughout the Workday local design and configuration phase.
- Keep project stakeholders informed of project status, changes, etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional counterparts to ensure clear lines of communication and Workday project alignment.
- Understand data governance across HR and Payroll technical platforms and other downstream systems.
- Develop business understanding with T&A, Benefits, Payroll, and HR user support.
- Convey complex solutions of varying degrees to technical and non-technical users.
- Documents delivered solutions and provided knowledge transfer on acceptable solutions.
- Responsible for identifying, cleansing, and validating data to be converted.
- Tests business processes and configuration.
- Develop customer-specific training and documentation.
- Stay up to date on industry knowledge and Workday enhancements, and be able to advise on Workday PATTS best practices.
Qualifications
- Workday US payroll certification.
- Additional certification(s) in Time Tracking and/or Absence, HCM, and Canada Payroll
- Strong understanding of US Payroll, including taxes and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Good knowledge of US benefits.
Required experience:
- 10 years of Payroll administration and technical support experience with implementations.
- In depth knowledge of Workday Payroll and Time and Attendance.
Technical skills/abilities:
- Solid understanding of Workday and other Payroll & Time and Attendance systems.
- Payroll System configuration experience.
- In depth knowledge of HR and Payroll reporting tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
