What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard position at Teamworks Adventure Camp - Westford?
We are currently seeking Lifeguards to join our team this summer at Teamworks Adventure Camp in Westford, MA. As a Lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals at our waterfront. This is a rewarding position that requires lifeguard certification, strong swimming skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
Duties:
- Monitor swimmers and ensure their safety at all times
- Enforce waterfront rules and regulations to maintain a safe and fun environment
- Respond promptly and appropriately to any emergencies or incidents
- Assess and assign campers to a swimming zone suitable for their skill level
- Perform regular waterfront maintenance tasks including daily setup and breakdown
- Knowledge of waterfront equipment and how to use it daily and in emergency situations
Qualifications:
- Must be certified in First Aid, CPR, and Lifeguarding
- Strong swimming skills and ability to perform rescues when necessary
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
- Physical fitness to perform duties such as heavy lifting, swimming, and maintenance
- Prior experience as a lifeguard or in a similar role is preferred
