About the Role:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, financially savvy assistant to help manage the business side of Teardrop Music — a growing artist management company. This role will initially focus on financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting for WILLIS (2.4M monthly listeners, national touring) and other clients under the Teardrop umbrella. You’ll help ensure that our artists’ business operations run smoothly and profitably as we scale.
This role is low commitment, 3-5 hours per month, designed to give you insight into the music business and allow you to learn directly from the inner workings of a music management company. Pay increases and more workload will be offered as we bring on more artists.
Responsibilities:
- Track monthly revenue and expenses for Teardrop Music clients, including WILLIS
- Assist in creating and updating financial projections and budgets for each artist
- Help plan and track tour budgets and other project costs
- Provide financial feedback on areas where we should adjust spending
- Report financial status to management and the artists
- Opportunity to take on broader artist management tasks as the role evolves
What We’re Looking For:
- Proficiency with spreadsheets (Google Sheets, Excel)
- Strong understanding of music business finances (streaming, touring, syncs, merch)
- Organizational skills and attention to detail, especially with budgets
- Strategic thinking — able to suggest changes based on financial data
- Comfortable communicating financial advice to management and the band
- Interest in artist management or the music industry is a plus
Compensation & Perks:
- Starting at $300/month (~3-5 hours/month)
- Flexible hours — perfect for someone looking to break into the music industry with low commitment
- Direct access to working with nationally touring bands like WILLIS (2.4M monthly listeners) and other clients
- Pay increases and more workload as additional clients come on board
- Opportunity to grow into artist management tasks over time
- Remote work with occasional in-person meetings in Nashville

Please send a brief message explaining why you’re interested in the role and why you’d be a good fit, along with your resume. Feel free to include any spreadsheet work or financial projects you’ve done.
